Part one of several spot illustrations done for a story about a long and lonesome, but never lonely road trip, starting in the Golden State of California. Done entirely in vector.

The next stop in the series of spot illustrations was arid New Mexico. The challenge was to make the illustrations feel as different as the states are from each other while still keeping the illustrations cohesive. Done in vector.

The final stop on this road trip was good old Louisianna, famous for its jazz, vibrancy and food. However, I didn't want to break from the feeling of solitariness I'd set up in the previous spot illustrations, so I decided to hint a the state's illustrious food culture with a shrimping boat, instrea of a vibrant Bourbon Street scene. Done in vector.
